River trail forum pushes forward

A coalition of Philadelphia and Montgomery County planners, bicyclists and trail enthusiasts staged a successful forum on completing the Schuylkill River Trail recently at the Academy of Natural Sciences in Philadelphia. More than 200 bicyclists, trail users, regional planners and politicians listened to a multi-media presentation detailing open space purchases and the imaginative reuse of abandoned rail lines and moribund river crossings.
