Schuylkill River Trail gets a map

Volunteers with the Schuylkill River National and State Heritage Area (SRHA) handed out maps May 22 to passersby at six trailheads highlighting the Schuylkill River Trail. Though it’s convenient to have the trail in a take-it-with-you format, the map also highlights portions of the trail where you can’t go, in hopes that trail-goers get motivated to complete them.

The goal is to have an uninterrupted 130-mile trail up and down the Schuylkill River, according to SRHA trail steward Kara Wilson, who also calls the river the Revolutionary River because of its importance during the Industrial and environmental revolutions.
