POST weekend Art Reception and exhibition at the Mason's building, 4200 Ridge Ave.


Philadelphia Open Studio Tours (POST) weekend for our half of the city is October 1st & 2nd. Check out the POST website for other artists that will be participating and create your own neighborhood tour of local artist's work and their studios.

You are invited to an art reception at the Mason's building, 4200 Ridge Ave., for our Eco-Art installations on Friday from 5pm-8pm...talk to artists about their work and motivation behind the thoughtfully crafted eco-friendly creations installed throughout the East Falls Riverfront Business District...

Sharon Jaffe and Noemi Armstrong will be "dressing" Waffles our 5' catfish with all of the wonderful drawings submitted by neighbors, Thomas Mifflin Elem. and Penn Charter students. While you are at the Mason's building also check out the exhibition of Student work submitted for Waffles that has been enlarged and will adorn the walls along with work by Marguerita Hagan, Lynn Denton and Frank Hyder...Saturday and Sunday from 12-5pm.

Create your own tour of the Eco-art installations along the riverfront business district and other local artists that are participating in POST...many of whom are at Sherman Mills! Start at the Mason's building and check out an exhibition of Thomas Mifflin Elem. and Penn Charter student work, find out more about the Eco-art installations and the artists and of course see how Waffles is progressing!

On Saturday, October 1st at the Mason's building, Sarah Gabriel, Managing Director of Home Grown Institute will be making a presentation from 4pm-5pm about a local sustainability conference to take place in March of 2012. Find out what it's all about and let her know if East Falls would be interested in participating as a neighborhood.
