Bridge work set for East Falls interchange

Thanks to federal stimulus dollars, rehab and replacement work will begin next month on bridges and ramps used by nearly 100,000 motorists daily in the East Falls area, where City and Ridge Avenues and Kelly and Lincoln Drives converge, officials announced yesterday.

To minimize the traffic impact, the work will be done in segments until its scheduled completion in September 2011, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.
