Bourbon Blue opens up onto the Manayunk Canal

Bourbon Blue opened its much-awaited deck this month overlooking the historic Manayunk Canal and Schuylkill River Trail. Now those looking to enjoy a great meal with a wonderful view have even more options.

The deck has been a long time coming. It represents a pioneer effort by a business to embrace this historical and natural asset unique to Manayunk - the Manayunk Canal and Towpath. The concept was originally explored in a 2005 study by the Manayunk Development Corporation which established design guidelines for businesses to face the river, canal and towpath, rather than turning their backs to it. Bourbon Blue serves "new american food with a New Orleans twist". They are open weekdays from 4:30 pm on, Saturdays from 11am and Sundays from 10am.
